Community engagement grew through initiatives like BSIFF EDU, inspiring over 3,000 young creatives. Innovative programs such as Shorts on Shorts engaged Gen Z audiences, while inclusive spaces welcomed emerging talents.

BSIFF achieved sold-out screenings with over 1,500 attendees in 2024. Relaunching the membership program in 2022 secured financial support, and improved financial systems ensured transparency. Empowering volunteers also strengthened BSIFF’s role as a platform for young creatives.

A surge in high-quality film submissions solidified BSIFF’s reputation as a leading African film festival.
